Proverbs 17:22

“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

A dust in the back,

Driving on past,

Only one glance back.

Lost in the dust,

Memories from dusk

Loosing them one by one,

Like long lost friends

Blinking in the sun.

Left them all behind

From those we cannot hide

Blocked behind the present

Those demons from the past.

They roar like lions.

They hold like chains

But don’t have power

Only in the brain.

Truly the demons

Melt like morning mist

They don’t have the power

They become like those clouds.

Like dust from the tires

Heading for the future

Don’t glance back.

The clouds of the past.

Sometimes we must remember that life is built on the past, not controlled by it. There are so many things we have to be grateful for, we must only bother to look for them. But we often forget the key part, when we find our something to be thankful for, we must be willing to accept it.

I have seen some turn away incredible opportunities, that others would rejoice. Yet these, they scorn at, and simply move on without a second thought. We have so much to be grateful for, so why do we cling to past problems? Why do we wish for the solutions of yesterday when God has prepared even better solutions for tomorrow?

You are blessed. Now you have to live like you have been blessed. A smile on the face of a poor man can melt the heart of the rich. You are what you make of your smallest opportunities.

Be blessed today.
